Biography
Dr. Lucy Da Silva is the pathologist whose autopsies anchor many of the Major Crime Unit’s cases from the premiere, “The Key to the Castle,” first aired in 2024, where she finds pentobarbital in a drowned crypto founder and shows he was still alive when he went into the lake. In “Good Neighbours” she dates a body set in concrete on a condo rooftop to about two decades earlier, opening a cold case.
She backs the detectives’ theory in “Skin Deep” that a fashion designer is a chimera whose blood carries a donor’s DNA, and in “Uncertain Justice” she takes the stand at a preliminary inquiry to testify that a fellow pathologist, Victor Plath, let bias shape his findings and that his other autopsies are substandard. As of “The Scorpion and the Tortoise” she is still with the unit, finding that a man mailed in pieces took six 9mm bullets and was sawn apart only after he died.
